Andrioch
Andrioch is a land layered in water, blood, and mud. An unforgiving place filled with bloodthirsty tribes of fearsome warriors. Endless rivers and channels flow through to the centre of the land, draining into the deep where the land is twisted and upside down. Dense, humid jungle holds hundreds of islands together. There is no natural fire that can breathe in this terrible drowning land, the only thing that burns is sacred dragon fire. The land is filled with violence and torment, that the land itself despises the life within it.
The dragons of Andrioch are long bodied and feathered, with multiple sets of small wings that help them swim. These dragons are reclusive, living more in the Dragon Reach than the mortal plane. The dragons are worshipped by some of the inhabitants of Andrioch, who in exchange for idols, provide guidance, protection, and their green fire. These dragons are most curious about conflict, they are interested in observing life and death. They will watch bloody battles unfold, remaining hidden under the mud.
The land is ruled by two terrible dragon demigods, one a follower of the hungering mass, one a follower of the drowner. These dragons have been twisted into unnatural forms, more pleasing to the abyssal divinities they worship. Prophecy says one must kill the other to bring about a new age.
Worshipped Gods
The Hungering Mass
The hunger mass’s worship leaves it’s followers twisted, rolling through the land performing sickening rituals, subsuming living mass, these followers are as much creatures as they are mortals.
The Drowner
The drowner’s worship sees any enemy’s face buried in the mud. The children of a child of slaughter imbue the land with unfathomable, torturous, unsatisfied cruelty.
The Unholy Assassin
Followers of the unholy assassin kill to prove a point, they inadvertently protect the weak by killing the strong.
The Three Fates
Followers of the three gods of fate are neutral protectors, they do not go out of their way to wage war, but will not be trespassed upon lightly.
